Most ‘2-person hot tub’ searches end up with people buying tubs that comfortably seat one, plus a knee-pinning second occupant. Realistic 2-person tubs prioritize seat depth and proportion over feature count. Here are the picks, ranked.

3. Hudson Bay Spas 2 Person Plug & Play — Specialty Spa Depot Pick

4. Evolution Refresh (Strong Spas) — Long-Narrow Costco Pick

Score: 63/100. 95×52 long-narrow footprint fits where square 2-person tubs won’t. 22 jets is generous for a 2-person.

5. AquaRest AR-300 — Cheapest Entry (Skip)

Score: 58/100. Documented warranty and quality concerns make this a skip even at the price.

What we rejected and why

What we passed on.

  • Inflatable 2-person tubs: They’re really 1-person tubs being marketed as 2 because two adults won’t fit comfortably. Different category — we’ll cover those separately.
  • 3-4 person tubs marketed as “couple-sized”: Energy waste. If two adults are the most that’ll ever use the tub, paying to heat 290 gallons of water you don’t need is the wrong trade.
  • Models with TBD or sub-3-year parts warranty: Compact 2-person tubs run their pumps harder per gallon. Warranty support matters more in this category, not less.
